About Miss Muffet For the longest time, since I can remember at least, I always thought how fun and absolutely cool it would be to have a store. When I was ten, it was a candy store. When I was 13, it was a clothing store. Then from time to time, it would change, depending on what was important at the time of course. Later, it became a children's store. Probably because after having children myself, there was a great interest in finding really great things. But not just any children's store! It had to be something totally different, fun, unique and inspiring. Yes, inspiring. Because what I've found is that there is an entire world of moms out there who are trying (and succeeding!) to create really fabulous things for kids. And so many of the products I carry are either (1) designed and manufactured by a "mom" owned company, (2) made right here in the good ol' USA from quality fabrics, materials at family-owned sewing shops, and (3) are well made, of highest quality, with great value. We are based in Kansas City, Missouri and launched this site in March 2006. Know of a product you've seen lately but cannot find it? Call or email us...we might be able to find it for you. The items we carry meet the following criteria: Comfortable - no scratchy fabrics, starch lace, irritating zippers or snaps in the wrong places...ever, ever, ever! We vow to only carry adorable things that are also snuggly soft. Unique - most items we carry cannot be found anywhere in stores in Kansas City...or in Missouri...or the Midwest for that matter! I spend countless hours looking at trends, the latest magazines and going to market to find things that are unique for Miss Muffet Kids. You can be assured that what you find here, won't be found at your local discount retailer or chain store.
